 Chad
was a 13-year old Big Lake student that drown in Lake Mitchell
on July 27, 2004, while fishing.
In honor of Chad Judge, and with the help of
Chad’s Family, the Big Lake Area Jaycees will be hosting an open
water fishing tournament, motorcycle ride and a 3k run on
Saturday, September 6, 2008.
A portion of the
proceeds from all events planned that day will be used to help fund
scholarships for Big Lake class of 2009, which is Chad’s
graduating class.
Our
intent is to award these scholarships in areas Chad loved most;
Band, Athletics, Academics and helping people. The specific
selection criteria will be published at a later date, and it is
our hope that this event will continue to fund scholarships for
many years to come.
